Description:
The Graphic Designer will create and design marketing and promotional materials to increase awareness of our organization and events. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing for both print and digital media, and will be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Design and create marketing and promotional materials, including posters, flyers, brochures, newsletters, digital ads, social media graphics, event signage and other materials as needed
- Manage and update the organization's websites in CMS (Squarespace)
- Collaborate with team members to effectively promote our organization and events
- Manage multiple projects and prioritize deadlines to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality designs
- Take the initiative to research and suggest new design concepts and trends that align with our organization's values and mission
- Collaborate with external vendors such as printers to ensure seamless delivery of materials
- Maintain consistent brand identity and design standards across all materials
- Attend all team meetings and contribute to brainstorming sessions
- Posting social; Twitter, Instagram, Facebook
- Working AOTA events, throughout the calendar year
Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in graphic design
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Strong understanding of design principles, typography, and colour theory
- Experience designing for print and digital media
- Experience with CMS websites (example: Squarespace / Shopify)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members
- Experience using online social media posting site; Loomly etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with non-profit organizations or in the arts industry
- Experience with video editing and motion graphics
