About the role
As the Graphic Design Intern, you will complete graphic design requests from concept to completion. You will conceptualize and design infographics, print media, publications, posters, event signage, outdoor advertising and graphics for social media campaigns. You will receive daily supervision and mentorship from the Officer, Communications Design.

About you

To be eligible in this program you will / are -

  • First Nations, Inuit or Métis students
  • Reside in British Columbia during the program
  • Recent graduates – within the last eighteen months – who have completed a post-graduate certificate, diploma, or degree

To be successful in this role you will have –

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or Visual Design from an accredited post-secondary institution

Experience

  • A portfolio that showcases a range of graphic design skills
  • Experience using graphic design software tools, including Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Experience creating visual designs for BC First Nations communities or organizations is an asset

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of graphic design trends and best practices
  • Knowledge of MS365 for internal communications and meetings (e.g., Microsoft Outlook, Powerpoint, Teams and Word)
