What you can expect:

We currently have an opening in our Langley office for a General Accounting Clerk. This role requires an individual who is organized, effective at multi-tasking and detail oriented, with strong communication and people skills. Depending on experience and knowledge, the core responsibilities of the role will be, but not limited to:

  • Manage A/R postings and investigations
  • Check each General Bank account for NSF cheques, returned items, direct deposits, service charges and responding as necessary
  • Manage credit card deposits
  • Manage and reconcile petty cash
  • Process and post firm expense reports
  • Assist with administration and miscellaneous accounts clean up
  • Vacation coverage for trust and general cheques
  • WIP follow up, clean up and write off – making sure adequate approvals are provided
  • A/R follow up, clean up and write off – making sure adequate approvals are provided
  • Assist the team with filing cheques and backups, and sending them to offsite storage at year end
  • Other ad hoc duties depending on the volume
