Gas Controller

Description:

• Daily remote operation of the pipeline using a SCADA system to monitor and respond to pipeline events.
• Execute emergency response procedures.
• You will be in continuous communication with the Field Operations groups for alarm response and managing equipment performance. This includes initiating callout work orders.
• Ensure they maintain all regulatory compliance requirements including DOT OQ and CRM.
• Monitor and respond to power dispatch requirements for the Alberta Electrical System operator (AESO).

Who you are:

• Related technical diploma and a minimum of 1 years direct experience as a Control Centre Operator, or equivalent mix of education and experience.
• Technical College Diploma in a Gas Industry Related field or a journeyman ticket in instrumentation, power engineering or a mechanical designation would be an asset.
• Proven ability to work in high pressure environments.
• Significant understanding of SCADA systems and pipeline hydraulics.
• Strong teammate with excellent communication skills..
