Whitecap is actively seeking an experienced software developer with a background of success and hands-on experience developing .NET / JavaScript based web solutions, especially involving compelling user interface designs, and associated front-end (presentation layer) development. Additionally, desktop development using Microsoft winforms would be desirable. The successful candidate will work as part of Whitecap project teams on the design, development and implementation of web based, and desktop-based business systems for clients across a variety of industries.

The position largely involves designing and developing systems using:

• HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, XML, web services, jQuery
• C#, ASP.NET, MVC, Core, Visual Studio
• Microsoft WinForms application development
• Presentation layer frameworks (React, Bootstrap, etc.)
• SQL Server, MySQL / MariaDB

We are looking for someone with:

• At least two years of experience developing custom .NET based web solutions involving a range of JavaScript based presentation frameworks
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
• A University degree in Computer Science, or equivalent
• Solid technical knowledge and programming skills, as per the technologies listed above
• Ability to solve problems efficiently, think creatively and deliver quality user focused software solutions in a timely manner
• Demonstrated understanding of UX best practices and how to program compelling application user interfaces
• Experience with mapping software would be an asset
