Full Stack Developer

Description:

The Digital Strategies and Services Branch provides a range of information technology and information management services for the Ministry. The Branch works closely with the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) to ensure ministry plans and initiatives are aligned with government’s overall technology direction and standards. Services provided include an IT Helpdesk, advice and support on protecting and optimizing the ministry’s information assets, and services and strategies relating to infrastructure and application management, workstations and devices, enterprise architecture, and business analysis.

This position is responsible for the development and delivery of scalable web applications in a continuous deployment environment.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field, and 1 year related experience*; OR
• Diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field, and 2 years related experience*; OR
• Some post-secondary education in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field, and 3 years related experience*.

• Related Experience must include:
• KExperience with full-stack development including frontend (e.g., Angular, React, or Vue) AND backend (e.g., NodeJS, Python, .NET Core) technologies.
• Experience using modern development tools, such as HTML, CSS and Javascript libraries.
• Experience with API development and integration and continuous development environments.

Preference may be given to applicants with the following:

• Experience with integrating applications with relational OR non-relational databases
• Experience with version control technologies in an open-source environment
