Description:
As a member of the EFPS Support team, you will be responsible for growing Financial Planning capability across SLFD, for advisors, managers and coaches. In this capacity, the role supports the continued growth in the knowledge and skills required by advisors to provide effective Financial Planning to clients.
Role actively participates as part of the Financial Planning Centre of Excellence for SLFD, ensuring that Financial Planning training is consistent with regulatory as well as SLF requirements
Specifically facilitates, supports and coordinates learning activities for assigned Region:
In partnership with managers, coaches and advisors, identify needs and participants
Facilitation and delivery of Financial Planning training to advisors, managers and coaches through various channels (e.g. online, virtual, classroom, skill building sessions, etc)
Communicate key needs, outcomes and observations to management and Financial Planning teams
Delivers training in a one-to-many environment with one-on-one support as required
What will you do?
Contribute to CSF sales results by ensuring advisors have the knowledge they require to deliver effective financial planning services to clients
Identify and participate in the implementation of initiatives, programs and processes to improve the financial planning capability of advisors
Provide opportunities for advanced level training to select CSF advisors in support of their development with respect to Financial Planning
Provide training opportunities for development of managers and coaches on Financial Planning principles etc to support day-to-day coaching of advisors
Financial Planning Centre of Excellence (FP CoE)
Contribute to the role of the FP CoE by providing regular feedback into the needs of advisors and manager
Support the development of appropriate content required to grow advisor and manager FP capability
What do you need to succeed?
7+ years in a financial planning or related role
CFP designation
Excellent knowledge of financial planning
Superior verbal and written communication skills
Excellent facilitation and presentation skills
Strong relationship management skills
Demonstrated self-management skills
Strong analytical ability
Full competence in the use Sun Life Financial Distributors financial planning support tools (SVFA)
Bilingualism (French, English) required- interactions with English and French-speaking customers or partners
