Description:

The Financial Coordinator, Early Learning and Child Care reports to the Manager, Financial Services, Early Learning and Child Care (ELCC) and is in Yellowknife, NT. Financial Coordinator, Early Learning and Child Care is divided into five sections: ELCC Financial Services, Capital Planning, Financial Operations, Financial Planning, and Education Authorities and Colleges.

In this role, the incumbent will perform financial and accountability functions that are delegated to, or required to be performed by, all departments under the Financial Administration Act, Financial Administration Manual (FAM), and internal policies, guidelines, and procedures. These responsibilities include but are not limited to budget development; administration of financial controls; financial account management; administration of third party funding; monitoring financial reporting; collection of revenues; payroll distribution and human resource statistical data for planning purposes; payables and receivables; and contract and procurement administration.
