Financial Analyst

Description:

The Incumbent assists in the fiscal year-end financial processes and assists with the preparation of financial statements and reports (scheduled and ad-hoc) throughout the year, as well as the development and implementation of internal financial and operational controls and procedures.

The Incumbent also participates in the preparation of the annual audit file and cost audits at the fiscal year end. The Incumbent acts as a financial analyst and consultant to all areas of the College and prepares financial and operational reports to meet the information needs of management, as well as external stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

• A minimum of a three (3) year diploma/degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance;

• A minimum of three (3) years of Progressive experience in Finance/Accounting area including experience with financial year-end processes and reconciliations;

• Experience in the capital/fixed asset life cycle and oversight, as well as contract reviews;

• Demonstrable ability to perform complex Excel functions.
