Financial Analyst

Description:

We are looking for someone who is ready to work in a fast growing media company, and will succeed with working within deadlines and providing strong financial reporting for assigned responsibilities. The Financial Analyst will be empowered to identify issues, provide strong analysis on monthly reports and continually seek opportunities for process improvements, all while embracing sharing their knowledge within a tight-knit finance team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in month and quarter end activities, analytical and business tasks as required. This individual will report directly to the Manager, Financial Reporting & Consolidations.

What You’ll Be Doing…

• Successfully complete monthly reporting and assist your Finance Manager in audit processes
• Successfully coordinate the integration of new content and programming into the accounting workflow
• Coordinate reporting across multiple systems and workflows
• Coordination between the various content stakeholders across the business.

What You’ll Bring…

• Experience with program accounting, or a background in complicated fixed asset management/accounting
• Advanced Excel skills
• A background in NetSuite would be a major asset
• An understanding of content accounting would be a major asset
• 3 years of accounting experience within a relevant industry
• Ability and experience of working to financial deadlines
• Post-secondary education in accounting
• Previous experience in fixed asset accounting
• Strong communication skills
• Strong technical skills
