Description:
As a Financial Analyst your responsibilities include, but are not limited to, owning the lessor property accounting and related financials consolidation process; perform the responsibilities of the Affiliate Lease Administrator for Canada; owning the preparation of legal entity local Financial Statements and financial information reporting to stakeholders; as well as complete cycle of PMI Balance Sheet forecasting process.
YOUR DAY TO DAY
- Work with external property accountants to ensure correct and complete consolidation of owned property's Financials with RBH's. Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and ad hoc analysis related to the property. Ensure capital projects are tracked, accounted for, and booked in accordance with PMI Accounting and SOX Standards. Actively participate in the budgeting and forecasting process for the property.
- Perform responsibilities as the Affiliate Lease Administrator by ensuring correct accounting of property and vehicle leases according to PMI Accounting Standards. Prepare supporting documentation for, and coordinate, approvals to raise tickets to add/remove/modify leased assets in the system. Assess and monitor lease GL accounts to ensure proper classification of leases.
- Prepare, present, and/or submit monthly/quarterly/semi-annual/annual and ad hoc legal entity Financial Statements and reports to local management, Statistics Canada, etc.
- End-to-end process of Working Capital and Balance Sheet forecasting including coordination with all counterparts on collection of data and assumptions, preparation for local management reviews and regional proposals, input to global systems, and preparation of variance analysis. Support all local reporting on Balance Sheet and Working Capital.
- Assist internal and external auditors or regulators with financial and/or other audits. This includes coordination with internal/external auditors/regulators and business partners; collection of finance and business information; and supporting inquiries from internal/external auditors/regulators.
- Support and contribute continuously to the improvements of systems and work methodologies to ensure that finance processes work effectively and efficiently and are adapting to evolving business needs. Implement improvement initiatives and work on projects to improve overall efficiency in the reporting processes.

- University Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Completion of the Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA) designation or equivalent, or in progress
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a Financial Analyst role
- Prior experience in a multinational company and familiarity with US GAAP concepts are pluses
