This position is responsible for the financial reporting, planning and analysis for all Distribution Services of the greater TJX Canada organization.
- Responsible for the financial reporting of DC’s annual expense budget, monthly rolling plans, variance analysis, accruals and accounting period close.
- Responsible for financial analysis and forecasting related to payroll and other period expense variances.
- Provide financial expertise/analysis to support DS Organization initiatives.
- Ad hoc reports and analysis, as required.
What you’ll need
To begin your career with us, you’ll have
Post-Secondary education in a related field (e.g. Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics).
- Minimum 3 years of GAAP accounting experience with exposure to financial reporting, forecasting and analysis; experience supporting Distribution and/or Supply Chain Operations is an asset.
- Working towards a business-related designation (e.g. CA, CPA, CFA or similar).
- Proven analytical & problem-solving skills including ability to analyze information and knowledge of database design/manipulation concepts. Demonstrated ability to apply knowledge of GAAP policies to develop and/or lead tactical initiatives in support of DC operations, with guidance from Senior Management.
- Excellent computer skills including word processing (MS Word, MS Office Suite) and spreadsheets (MS Excel); experience using database and data manipulation tools such as TM1, Monarch, Spyview, ACL, Power BI.
- Self-starter with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a detail-oriented, multi-project environment while meeting tight and fixed deadlines.
