Description:
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis, the Financial Analyst will provide ongoing business support and performance measurement to key stakeholders to meet our objective of maintaining continuous profitable growth. The FA will focus mainly on supporting our Corporate Services functions within Kinaxis, including HR, Finance, Corporate IT, and Legal, will prioritize building relationships with key stakeholders, and will provide advisory and consultative services to business units. What you will do
- Data extraction and analysis to develop, prepare and present financial data, results and recommendations that are timely, accurate, reliable, and relevant for effective business decision making;
- Participate in quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting processes for each of the Corporate Services groups by collaborating with other key stakeholders and collecting and consolidating data from relevant areas;
- Take initiative to understand the goals and objectives of each of the Corporate Services functions to support their evolving business needs through financial analysis, modeling of key drivers and performance metrics;
- Help drive standardized KPI reporting that will help automate performance measurement and forecast target achievements;
- Contribute to the development of actionable management reporting and dashboards that explain variances against budget and forecasts and identify risk and opportunities;
- Make and implement recommendations to improve processes and evolve our ability to provide answers to recurring and ad-hoc requests (including self-serve reporting);
- Working on ad-hoc FP&A projects as needed to support team members or perform analysis that spans across multiple departments;
- Collaborate with the HR Business Partner team to provide consistent communication of objectives and adjustments to the forecast.
What we are looking for
- Post secondary degree in accounting, business, or related field, with or working towards a CPA designation or an MBA preferred.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience, preferably with a global company in the technology sector; background in FP&A or in Audit is an asset
- Experience with accounting and financial planning systems; Netsuite and Planful are an asset
- Highly skilled in Microsoft tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Excellent communication skills, including being able to clearly communicate financial information to business stakeholders, along with strong interpersonal skills.
