Financial Analyst

Description:

Works with managers to understand their business needs and to support them in utilizing financial information to make prudent business decisions.
Participates in special projects as assigned by the Manager, and provides technical resources to the Director, Finance, as required.
Provides technical, analytical, and coordinating resources for the development and reporting of the annual operating budget and quarterly expenditure forecasts
Participates in the design, development, and maintenance of the budget/forecast information system.
Provides information and direction to managers and departmental budget coordinators regarding budget preparation, assumptions, and deadlines; provides assistance to budget preparation, planning, and annual budget 
Researches and writes first drafts of Annual Management and Budget reports. Performs necessary analysis, and prepares related charts, graphs, and tables.
Prepares various reports, analysis, and presentation materials.
Ensures that the quarterly Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) are consistent with expenditure forecasts and verifies financial information in the development of KPI budget projections.
