The Corporate Services Division of Highways and Public Works provides critical central agency services to government and direct services to the department itself. We provide risk management, procurement, surplus asset disposal, mail delivery, insurance, travel and fleet vehicle services to Yukon government departments. We also provide policy, communications, and finance services to the Department of Highways and Public Works. Our division employs analysts, procurement specialists, fleet, travel and mail service specialists, accountants and many other professionals.

The Corporate Services Branch streamlines and improves finance processes to allow Highways and Public Works to deliver programs and services more efficiently and effectively. We are a group of professionals that pride ourselves on our customer service focused finance culture and approach. We require a person to assimilate within our group to help monitor and report on expenditures within the branches of the Department of Highways and Public Works. You will bring good accounting knowledge, supervisory skills, team building skills, a sense of inquisitiveness and a sense of humor. We will provide a broad spectrum of challenges to help grow your accounting and finance knowledge.
Reporting to the Manager of Finance the Financial Advisor is responsible for supporting the financial activities of branch program area(s) across the department, ensuring the effective management of accounts payable and receivable functions on behalf of the department, conducting audits of work assignments to ensure accurate completion within established timelines, generating a variety of financial reports to assist management in decision-making and providing assistance to the Manager of Finance, as required.
