Export Sales Manager

Description:

Caribex Seafoods Inc. is seeking an experienced Manager - Export Sales to lead international sales operations, negotiate contracts with customers in Cuba and Latin America, and manage logistics and distribution. This on-site role in Toronto, ON requires travel across Canada and the Caribbean to engage with vendors and prospective clients. The selected candidate will oversee export sales strategy, procurement, and logistics while ensuring compliance with international trade regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

🌎 Develop and manage international sales, particularly in Cuba and Latin America
🤝 Negotiate and manage sales contracts with business clients
📦 Supervise the purchasing department to ensure product availability
✅ Ensure quality control for all exported seafood products
🚢 Coordinate export logistics and manage shipping operations
📊 Oversee export sales budgets and implement marketing plans
📜 Manage import/export documentation, including letters of credit and shipping contracts
📈 Develop strategies to expand market reach and optimize export operations

Required Qualifications & Experience:

✅ Bachelor's degree or MBA in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management (Food), or related field
✅ Minimum 5 years of experience in senior management roles
✅ 5+ years of direct experience in sales, international trade, or logistics for an export-oriented firm
✅ Experience in the food industry is required; seafood experience is a plus
✅ Familiarity with Cuban companies and Latin American markets is an asset
✅ Strong understanding of international trade regulations, freight pricing, and payment terms
✅ Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Export Management Software (EMS)
✅ Expertise in handling import/export documentation, including purchase agreements and shipping contracts
✅ Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills

Compensation & Benefits:

💰 Base Salary: CAD 110000-120000 per year
