About Us: Canadian Parents for French New Brunswick (CPF NB) is a volunteer-driven organization dedicated to providing opportunities for young Canadians to learn and use French as a second language. We are seeking an inspiring and strategic Executive Director to lead our mission, with a focus on program management and fostering collaboration between New Brunswick’s English and French-speaking communities.
What You'll Do: As the Executive Director, you’ll lead CPF NB by:
- Shaping and implementing our organizational strategy and overseeing key programs.
- Building strong relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and government.
- Managing resources and leading a talented team to ensure our mission thrives.
- Guiding media and government relations, along with advocacy efforts, to enhance CPF NB’s impact.
- Strengthening partnerships and supporting events like the annual Snider Mountain Camp and FSL tutoring programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Act as a role model for CPF NB, driving our long-term vision and fostering collaboration within the community. Seek new funding and opportunities to expand our reach.
- Operations & HR: Oversee daily operations and ensure staff are supported, trained, and motivated. Lead performance reviews, succession planning, and maintain a positive workplace.
- Financial Management: Manage our budget, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities. Seek Board approval for larger expenditures and new initiatives.
- Advocacy & Engagement: Act as a key spokesperson, building relationships with key government officials, partners, and other community stakeholders. Support the Board and volunteers in advocacy and event planning.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bilingual: Strong verbal and written communication in both English and French is an asset.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 – 10 years in senior management roles in the non-profit sector, with experience in political advocacy, public relations, or government relations.
- Education: A post-secondary degree in fields like Non-Profit Management, Public Administration, Education, or Business Administration is preferred.
- Skills: Experience in program management, stakeholder engagement, team leadership, and financial oversight. Knowledge of French Second Language programs in New Brunswick is a bonus!
