Description:
You will be accountable for supporting the delivery of the Nova Scotia Event Strategy goal: to create a diverse calendar of authentically Nova Scotian events, harnessing Nova Scotia’s natural assets and unique culture to create social and economic benefits for all Nova Scotians, while leaving a legacy of growth for culture and sport. This government-wide approach to events is a key deliverable of Nova Scotia’s Culture Action Plan.
This position will report directly to the Director of Events.
Primary Accountabilities
Duties may include:
- Executing developing and implementing effective communication strategies and tactics helping to position Nova Scotia as an event leader including writing, editing and overseeing the production of various communication materials including, stakeholder newsletters and communication tools.
- Social media content building and execution; website updates and integration.
- Support for advisory group meetings/agenda building; support for organization and implementation of the necessary tools to advance event hosting capacity, including online learning, conference hosting.
- Best practice sharing and organization of best practice missions when appropriate.
- Assisting the Senior Event Advisors with the execution of partnership agreements and event investment activation.
- Assist the Senior Event Advisor with the assessment of event hosting capacity in municipalities, building tools and/or event hosting standards.
- Administration of the funding programs related to the event strategy funding themes, including assessing requests for funding and development of recommendations for funding as well as collecting final reports to measure investments; and assisting staff in the execution of events related to the Nova Scotia Event Strategy.
