Graduation from an Institute of Technology with a Diploma in Engineering Technology, plus three years related experience preferably in a municipal setting or an equivalent combination of training and significant related experience in development engineering.
Thorough knowledge of municipal engineering principles, MMCD, standards and methods, and the applicable engineering policies, procedures, standards, and bylaws.
Knowledge of municipal engineering practices and application to project design and preparation of engineering plans, specifications, contract documents, construction and related material.
Experience with municipal and development projects.
Experience and working knowledge of the methods, materials and equipment used in construction of municipal infrastructure.
Ability to lead assigned engineering and development files.
Ability to accurately prepare and maintain records, reports, and various other applicable correspondence.
Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with a variety of internal/external contacts, including the public.
Ability to collaborate, participate, and work effectively within a team.
Ability to demonstrate attention to detail, organizational and time management skills.
