Engineering & Product Development Intern

 

Description:

You will be a valued asset to the Manufacturing Engineering team at Mold-Masters where you will have the opportunity to partner with and learn from our experienced engineering team through your assignments and project work.

What You’ll Do:

 

  • Maintain Value Stream Map, Lean roadmap, and lean road map action plan for assigned Value Stream;
    Productivity
  • Review feasibility studies of manufacturing processes for assigned Value Streams to improve production efficiency and reduce manufacturing labour costs, material and overhead costs;
  • Update and maintain plant layout for assigned Value Stream;
  • Assist in the day-to-day operations required by the Production Supervisor, Maintenance Supervisor, and Lead Hands as required;
  • Review, monitor and report on assigned Value Stream OEE (overall equipment effectiveness) to identify areas of opportunity to task improvements;


Basic Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering undergraduate program
  • Superior organization skills essential in working on multiple projects and meeting deadlines
  • Motivated self-starter with hands-on work ethic is essential to working with the Value Stream
  • A team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS office programs (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Visio) & in AutoCAD (plant layouts)


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of CAD Software such as SOLIDWORKS / AutoCAD
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of robotics and automation
