Requirements

  • Completes elements required of preventative maintenance program for grounds, including lawns, gardens, flowerbeds, walkways, parking areas on the direct resort property, power washing buildings.
  • Responsible for monitoring condition of outdoor equipment (benches, swings, outside games – horseshoes, shuffleboard, beach volleyball court area, playground)
  • Maintains the condition of the property to the established standard
  • Reports to work on time and in full uniform
  • Follows established sign in/out procedures
  • Has complete knowledge of all equipment required to use
  • Knowledge of services offered in the hotel
  • Follows established standards
  • Maintenance and cleanliness of all staff and public areas designated “grounds”
  • Maintenance and cleanliness equipment and storage spaces
  • Maintenance and organization of supplies
  • Greeting other staff & guests in a friendly manner
  • Other duties as assigned by management respecting departmental priority list
  • Informs manager of guest comments promptly
  • Appearance and Grooming
    • Clean uniform

    • Safe footwear must be worn in all seasons
    • Shower daily
    • Use of scent free cologne / deodorant

    • Jewelry to not exceed one ring and one watch. Safety gloves to cover.
  • Preparation for Shift
    • Checks with supervisor for day’s priorities
    • Checks requisitions for maintenance orders pertaining to grounds
    • Completes Engineering Daily Task Form daily (ENG022) as requested by acting Supervisor
  • Public and Staff Areas
    • Maintains all parking areas and walkways as outlined in departmental and occupational health & safety standards
    • Maintains cleanliness of grounds, parking areas, garbage receptacles
    • Storage spaces kept clean and organized
  • Equipment
    • Ensures the state of the equipment is maintained through preventative maintenance and careful use
    • Protects the security of the equipment with proper and secure storage after use
    • Follows all safety procedures required to avoid any risk to person or equipment
