We are looking for an EIT to join our Power Engineering team as part of the Power Operations Rotational Program. EITs are given the opportunity to work in Power Operations through multiple 12-18 month rotations. These opportunities will shape your professional development to ensure you meet the requirements for the Professional Engineering designations. Areas of impact include turbine reliability, performance analysis, asset performance, standard development, and operational planning and strategy. The incumbent will have the responsibility for ensuring asset performance and reliability data is accurately interpreted and acted upon to support the safe and efficient operation of Enbridge’s wind and solar facilities.

What you will do:
Working closely with Engineering and Operations personnel to complete equipment root cause analyses and develop action plans to remediate equipment issues. Supporting the identification of equipment reliability issues through SCADA data and component reliability data analysis.
Provide project management and technical support for all aspects of the blade inspection and repair program by planning, implementing and validating inspection results.
Engage with original equipment manufacturers, service providers, other Owner-Operators, and consultants to keep abreast of leading industry trends that Power Operations could employ to improve reliable operations.
Develop and maintain documentation on standard practices and procedures for Engineering. Assist with the automation and routinization of regular reporting responsibilities of team
Contribute to a growing business by providing direction and support to expand data analytics platform capabilities with fast, accurate wind/solar performance and resource assessments.
Who you are
Bachelor’s Engineering degree in mechanical or electrical Engineering; other related engineering fields will also be considered.
Strong skills in programming, ideally MATLAB and Python; other programming languages considered an asset. Strong project management, planning, and organizational skills
Experience in the wind or solar industry will be preferred. Experience with (high resolution) data acquisition, historians, SQL databases, and SCADA infrastructure will be considered an asset
Strong understanding of fundamentals of mathematics, statistics, and data science
Ability to travel to sites across North America
