Description:
The successful applicant will be the project manager for assignments by the VGN-Mahihkan Director of Engagements. The successful applicant is expected to:
- Meet client deliverables and uphold critical deadlines;
- Ensure that service quality standards are maintained and consistently delivered in all areas of responsibility;
- Effectively shift priorities to achieve exceptional results;
- Show initiative to meet demands, and recommend solutions to address issues as they arise;
- Identify opportunities for improvement, innovation, and work proactively to implement these;
- Maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound judgment and discretion when dealing with sensitive issues;
- Participate in team meetings;
- Follow all VGN-Mahihkan administrative, data management, and financial policies and practices; and,
- Act in a manner consistent with the values of VGN Resources Group, Inc.
Responsibilities of the Position:
The successful applicant will provide the following services that include, but are not necessarily limited to:
- Providing strategic advice to clients on developing engagement and communication (E&C) plans;
- Managing workplans and budgets to ensure that assigned projects meet deliverables while staying on schedule and within budget;
- Maintaining excellent communications with clients, including integrating other project team members into client meetings as appropriate;
- Developing risk management plans to help address internal and external factors that may affect the delivery of assigned projects;
- Managing teams of professional facilitators, note takers and support staff in the implementation of E&C plans, and ensuring that adequate support is available to meet the requirements of the project;
- Managing engagement logistics such as recruiting and registering participants, helping develop surveys, managing speakers, scheduling note takers - briefing them on any desired formatting, assisting with report writing, arranging simultaneous interpretation, , technical and audiovisual support, establishing décor, graphic design and providing general customer service and support;
- Identifying, negotiating service agreements, and engaging qualified subcontractors to fulfill the varied needs of any given project; meet the varied needs of for events and engagements;
- Undertaking all onsite engagement management responsibilities including preparation, debriefing, and other matters to ensure smooth delivery of event and engagement programming;
- Supporting event and engagement sales initiatives including content creation, proposal writing, and template creation.
