IMPACT (Innovative Mentoring and Professional Acceleration in Commodities) is one of our many programs within Commodity Insights aimed at developing early career talent globally. The Impact: As a Summer Intern within the Product Management Team , your contributions will help influence S&P Global Commodity Insights and our clients. You will collaborate with teams to develop innovative products and insights that empower clients—from oil and gas companies to regulators—to make strategic decisions in the evolving energy landscape. Your work will harness data science, AI, and market expertise to deliver actionable intelligence, fostering collaboration and ensuring our clients thrive in a complex global energy ecosystem.

Responsibilities:
The Global Energy Software R&D team work s on concept creation, testing, prototyping, and identifying market fit of new software products or contributing to research and innovations to existing software products in our Geoscience and Petroleum Engineering software portfolios .

Work is future-oriented and is crucial for breakthroughs that can help reshape products or open new market opportunities for our software portfolio.

Involves exploration of cutting-edge technologies or novel features related to geoscience (geology & geophysics) and/or petroleum engineering software in the E&P Industry .

This role will c ollaborate with Product R&D team members and with Software Engineering to prototype new features and evaluate how cutting-edge algorithms are best scaled and implemented.

Collaborates with Data Science teams to validate the feasibility and potential impact of work and to test models and theories on real world data.

Collaborates with Product Management to provide research insights that aid in prioritizing new opportunities while turning prototypes into commercially viable products.
