Essential Qualifications

• Successful completion of six years of academic/professional training including possession of a Master’s Degree in Education
• At least 6 years of experience as a teacher, administrator or education consultant in a K- 12 school environment.
• Experience coaching, training, and mentoring school staff.
• Experience incorporating First Nations cultures and traditions in curriculum, policy development and classroom instruction.
• Experience developing curriculum is considered an asset.
• Experience with supporting K-12 Literacy development.
• Training in literacy development for primary grades is considered an asset.

Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.
