Reporting to the Operational Program Support Manager, the Education and Communications Coordinator contributes significantly to consistent province-wide regulatory transformation through education and communication. This position is responsible to plan, organize, deliver and manage the implementation of training and communications to support front-line staff in their delivery of regulatory approvals and applicants in applying for and managing regulatory approvals, under the Environmental Protection and Enhancement Act, Water Act, and the Public Lands Act.
The Education and Communications Coordinator leads a team that includes an education specialist and a communications specialist. This position liaises with front-line staff, subject matter experts, statutory decision-makers, managers, directors and consultants. The position has a leadership role in the planning, design, development, implementation and evaluation of training and communications focused on both internal and external audiences. This includes coordination and management of division knowledge, curriculum development and its delivery and devising internal communications strategies.
