Ecommerce Specialist

 

Description:

The eCommerce Specialist reports to the eCommerce Manager working closely with the Sales, Customer Satisfaction, and Marketing teams. This is a full time hybrid opportunity. Ideally you are based close to our Burnaby office, and can come work at the office 1-2 days per week. We’re open to remote candidates based on PST in Canada as well.

Scope

- Analytics consolidation and reporting (weekly, monthly)
- Product and content management across multiple Shopify stores
- User experience optimization including site speed
- Website troubleshooting
- Supports the build out of digital marketing and social media strategies to increase reach, engagement, conversion, AOV and retention

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Website Administration

- Internally own Shopify platform, including all site maintenance
- Manage the Shopify and third-party tools, ensuring the websites are functioning properly and providing a smooth user experience, including:
- Product uploads
- Ongoing management of product details and accuracy
- Reactive resolution of errors (data entry, image issues, formatting, etc.)
- Support site administration across all MCC Shopify properties
- Shopify app maintenance
- Setting up and schedule theme changes seasonally (may include very light work with coding)
- Setting up discount codes and managing issue resolution
- Monitoring #website Slack channel and resolving urgent issues

Analytics

- Management and maintenance of reporting dashboards for eCommerce and Marketing
- Collect, analyze and consolidate eCommerce data via Google Analytics, Shopify, and other tools to improve user experience and optimize for conversions, providing actionable insights to key stakeholders

Website Optimization

- Develop, execute, and analyze tests to improve conversion and sales
- Implementation of site optimization tasks and projects
- Conducts regular competitor analysis to identify ways to ensure website and marketing strategies are ahead of the game
- Liase with Customer Service to gauge feedback and flag potential user experience changes to websites
- Stay up-to-date on eCommerce trends, best practices, accessibility, and technologies, and make recommendations for new strategies and tools to improve the eCommerce business

Requirements

- 2+ years of experience in eCommerce, preferably in a D2C environment
- Strong understanding of eCommerce platforms, website design, and UX/UI best practices
- CSS & Js basic knowledge
- Fluent with Excel and Google Suite
- Amazon Experience (not required but would be an asset)
