Description:
Working with the Academic Director and Executive Director, the Director, Research lead assigned Diversity Institute (DI) research projects from project conceptualization to development and implementation. They lead a multi-disciplinary research team including the writing of research proposals, reports, and communication of research findings and results and the development and implementation of strategic partnership development for research grants and outreach initiatives for research grants. The Director, Research works with a network of researchers across Canada and maintains strategic internal and external partnerships and relationships with key stakeholders. They cultivate partnerships and develop relationships and collaborations with key stakeholders, networks, industry, and communities. The Director, Research pursues new business opportunities to attract investments to support sustainability of research projects and to raise awareness of the Institute and Toronto Metropolitan University as a leader in Canada on workplace diversity and inclusion. They oversee the development of research proposals, reports, and research findings. The Director, Research contributes to the marketing and promoting of diversity related activities and in knowledge mobilization and sharing of best practices.
