Director Distribution Center Operations

 

Description:

  • Lead the development and implementation of workforce planning including total headcount, job complement, overtime and workload balancing.
  • Ensure that each distribution center achieves appropriate customer service targets such as on time deliveries, service levels and claims, while providing direction in the setting of the targets.
  • Manage the effective implementation and ongoing improvements to the health and safety policies and management system procedures with a goal of zero injuries in the workplace.
  • Utilize existing Labour Management Systems (LMS) and other industry best practice to drive continuous improvement in productivity.
  • Develop and implement tools for standardized management of equipment and facility conditions and cost across the distribution centers.
  • Provide direction, guidance, and coaching to direct reports on decision making, strategic thinking, and business unit vision.
  • Lead and provide direction for the annual budget process for distribution center operations
  • Provide leadership and operations input for the distribution center logistics systems to develop priorities on enhancements, future design, and implementation plans, as needed.
