Description:
Working with the Global Head of Investment Intelligence, Global Investment leaders and their project teams, this role is focused on obtaining a greater level of insight into KPMG International most critical investments. The key purpose - to ensure stated strategic objectives are met. By monitoring those investments, challenging teams when there are discrepancies and inquiring into anomalies we provide the transparency into global investments that is required by global leadership. We analyze the data, probe and draw conclusions, make recommendations and provide insightful summaries to global leaders. We also provide reporting to the Global Board, Senior Partners of member firms, the Global Management team, the Executive Monitoring team (Global COO & CAO) and the Global investment committee. The outcome of all of this is to help our firm make better and more informed decisions on what to invest in and which investments are ultimately providing the greatest ROI
What you will do:
- Supports development of the strategy for Investment Intelligence, set priorities and direction for the Investment Intelligence team, set standards, ensuring the high quality of department reporting, products and communications
- Working with KPMGI senior investment owners across the portfolio to understand changing reporting requirements and developing reporting and monitoring processes to meet those requirements. This includes but is not limited to, designing and leading monitoring programs and producing insightful executive reports for global leaders. Typical activities include: analyze performance data, draw conclusions and present these in easily digestable reports to support executive decision making. (Developing and maintaining a working command of KPMGI's investment portfolio of over 100 investments)
Review and approval of team outputs - ensure they are commensurate with executive audiences and quality thresholds
Review and approval of changes in core data sets, e.g. product data
- Conducting outreach interviews and discussions with executives from across the global network in support of continuous improvement of the identification, development and deployment of strategic solutions to member firms. Harmonizing information captured in the interview discussions into executive reports with actionable recommendations to investment teams and function leadership on how to improve KPMGI's most strategic development programs.
- Leading ad-hoc reporting and other initiatives to provide insight about the global investment portfolio
- Assist the Department Head, Investment Intelligence with resource management, providing backup coverage to the Department Head and driving continuous improvement, innovation and operational efficiencies. This may include serving as performance manager to one or more direct reports.
What you bring to this role:
- Ability to work with very senior leadership
- Working with financials and accurately reporting numbers a must
- Advisory consultancy or accounting experience a strong plus
- Understanding of KPMG business model, organizational structure and key roles, with experience of working within the matrix environment a plus
- Experience navigating highly political environments while maintaining trust and respect
- Experience effectively directing team members in a virtual, fast paced, high volume, high pressure environment
- Experience successfully prioritizing projects and delivering outcomes under tight timelines and deadlines
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Leadership experience in a professional services or related environment
- Ability to develop graphics, charts, and dashboards to simplify complex program and financial data to bring insight appropriate to the audience
- Ability to demonstrate collaboration and knowledge-sharing in a virtual team environment
- Data Analytics skills and experience a plus
