Description:
As a Digital Media Designer, you will work with clients to create instructional media content, which can include, but is not limited to, interactive modules, graphics, websites, animations, videos, and audio assets. In addition, Digital Media Designers will provide technical support, write documentation, and assist in training for various technologies at Western.
The incumbent will have responsibility for carrying out activities which require some specialization of skills. The incumbent will be responsible for providing support to faculty or staff, and for effectively carrying out a variety of tasks in accordance with policies, procedures, and instructions received from their supervisor. The incumbent will take guidance from their supervisor, and work productively and courteously with their work team and other members of the Western community.

Successful candidates should be proficient in at least one (1) of the following roles:
Web Designer (HTML, CSS, WordPress, CMS)
Graphic Designer (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
Photographer (DSLR Cameras, Studio Lighting, Photoshop, Lightroom)
Learning Module Developer (Storyline, Captivate)
Video Creator/Editor (Video DSLRs/Camcorders, Premiere, After Effects, Final Cut Pro)
Audio Producer (Recording Hardware, Audition, Audacity, Logic)
Additional Assets
JavaScript (JS)
Technical writing
Customer service experience
Project management experience
Training/teaching experience
Interest in new media and technologies
Interest or experience creating 3D objects for animation, virtual and/or augmented reality
