Description:
As Digital Marketing Lead, you will play an important role in helping shape, and grow the Shine Turbine brand. This is an ideal role for someone who is self-driven, enjoys the challenge of building things from the ground up, is adaptable, and is interested in working in a fast-paced, ever-changing startup environment. This role requires working in the office 2-3 days a week. As a result, candidates should live in the Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM) and be able to commute to Burnside, Dartmouth.
Responsibilities
- Social media management - build and manage a multi-channel social media strategy consisting of daily posts and videos to educate, entertain, and grow our online community.
- Writing & communication - respond to customer inquiries, write copy for social media posts, web pages, marketing emails, video scripts, and more.
- Content creation - create educational and entertaining content (videos/reels/posts, etc.) for Shine Turbine's social channels (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Twitter, and LinkedIn).
- Graphic design - use Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, etc. to support the creation of digital marketing / creative assets.
- Data & Analytics - Monitor and report on the success and metrics of digital marketing campaigns.
- Ambassador & influencer management - build an influencer strategy to drive brand awareness and engagement.
- Events - support the planning and execution of our participation at trade shows or relevant industry events.
-Complete other duties as required.
Qualifications
-Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or equivalent.
-3-5 years of experience in social media management, writing, content creation, and customer service.
-Experience using central social management platforms (e.g. Later, Meta Business Suite, etc.).
-Comfortable creating highly engaging social posts on the fly with just the phone in your pocket.
-Strong writing skills and a high attention to detail. If you proofread everything, we want you!
-A data-driven mindset with experience measuring the success of organic and paid social media campaigns. (e.g. using Excel, Google Analytics, and Meta to track conversions, CPC, CTR, etc.)
-Quick learner with strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines and demands.
-A self-motivated professional who is comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
-Previous marketing experience in the outdoor and/or consumer electronics space is a big plus but not required.
