Description:
The Digital Advertising Specialist will create, maintain, and optimize digital pay per click marketing and advertising strategies to increase brand awareness, engagement, and conversion. Collaborating with the design and marketing team, the Digital Advertising Specialist will manage multiple digital advertising campaigns for various internal clients to support Red Deer Polytechnic business goals.
Position Responsibilities
- Create, maintain, and optimize successful pay-per-click digital marketing campaigns across all digital channels, including but not limited to Google Search & Display, LinkedIn, Meta, TikTok, Snapchat, YouTube, Amazon, and Microsoft. This includes managing several ad buys at one time.
- Work with the Marketing and Communications team to develop effective creative ads that meet business needs and adhere to RDP’s brand. This includes copywriting that resonates with target audiences and fits the specifications of a particular medium; editing; and proofreading.
- Create ad campaign analytics reports to be shared with internal clients.
- Manage engagements, including comments, on advertisements.
- Research and stay current with digital advertising and marketing trends and analytics
- Ensure that RDP brand is effectively and consistently integrated within all digital advertising initiatives.
- Recommend appropriate digital media, frequency, and schedule to effectively advertise to identified target audiences, using budgets identified by the requesting department as part of marketing and media plans.
- Actively participates in training and professional development activities in accordance with the goal and development plan and as opportunities become available
Required Qualifications
- Two (2) years of post-secondary training in Digital Marketing, Marketing, Psychology, or similar. and/or
- Minimum two (2) years experience in pay-per-click advertising (search, paid social, video, etc).
Preferred Qualifications
- Google Analytics, Meta, SEM Rush, Hootsuite Certifications, or similar, are an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, or similar.
- Strong copywriting skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize workloads.
- Great attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
