How you’ll succeed
- Engineering and Development - set up and maintain automation by adopting trending DevOps technologies and processes.
- DevOps Engineering - Support application deployment and troubleshooting of environments and ensure SCM infrastructure and services, including GitHub, Jenkins, are current, reliable and operational.
- Develop and Document - promoting branch/merge strategies, build and packaging methodologies, and ensure they comply with both CIBC and industry standards and best practices. Additionally you’ll communicate, present, and ensure compliance of SCM strategies to development teams.
Who you are
- You can demonstrate at least 2+ years of experience; having Knowledge of Software Configuration Management fundamental concepts and practices such as branch/merge strategies, build process, packaging approaches, and deployment best practice. You have extensive knowledge and experience with Java middleware application build and deployment automation. You have Working experience with: GitHub Actions, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, Docker, OpenShift/Kubernetes, Unix shell scripting
- Nice to haves: Mobile native build (iOS and Android), Azure DevOps, ServiceNow , integration, Helm, Node/npm build
