Description:
You will collaborate with multiple stakeholders of various disciplines from the preliminary planning stage through to project completion. We will guide you through overseeing pre-engineering and survey work, production of quantity and cost estimates, and contract administration. You will ensure contractors perform all aspects of the work according to plans and specifications.
This position provides you with the ability to recommend construction improvements based on assessments of field conditions and contribute to the design of highways and structures.
We will also mentor you in understanding what it takes to be an effective leader of field and office staff.
A key focus of this role will be maintaining positive relations with contractors, consultants, the public and various agencies affected by highway construction and survey work.
Throughout your term, you will gain insight on Engineer responsibilities that fall under the Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental Acts.
