Development & Communications Specialist

What will you do in this role at SPAN?

• Enhance and grow SPAN’s social media presence with engaging content and strategic messaging;
• Develop & execute an annual marketing strategy aimed at promoting SPAN’s programs and partnership opportunities to external audiences;
• Spearhead donor relations, ensuring both corporate and individual partners are documented, recognized and appreciated;
• Provide strong support and promotion to third-party events in which SPAN is the beneficiary;
• Identify immediate and long term needs within SPAN’s programs (i.e. Food Bank Wishlist) for external communication;
• Develop & lead the SPAN Volunteer Program, aimed at recruitment, retention and recognition of a strong group of reliable supporters;
• Support the team in written communications, including newsletters, promotional material and funding applications;
• Apply a creative and innovative vision to the promotion and communication of SPAN within the community and province, through a variety of applicable channels
