Customer Service Representative

 

Description:

Reporting to the Team Lead, Finance, the Customer Service Representative (CSR), Billing will perform a variety of customer service, administrative, and accounting functions within the department.

The incumbent must possess strong customer service skills, be an effective team player, be detail oriented, and maintain integrity in all dealings. The CSR, Billing needs to easily learn new skills, be adaptive to change, as well as be analytical and decisive while working within the parameters of assigned authority.

Responsibilities:

  • Support inquiries through various channels (phone, email) pertaining to pricing, billing and payments in an efficient manner using their knowledge and decision-making authority to effectively resolve broker inquiries in a single contact.
  • Coordinate payment arrangements with customers that are in delinquent status.
  • Advise customers and brokers about corporate Finance policies and procedures.
  • Generate and distribute payment overdue notices and collection letters.
  • Receive payments and process deposits (cheques, EFT payments, credit card payments)
  • Manage Agency Bill business including payment management, statement keying and reconciliations.
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate and detailed financial records according to company procedure.
  • Assist with Accounts Payable and print claims cheques.
  • Complete assorted journal entries as required.
  • Act as back-up to other team members as required.
