Customer Service Associate

 

Description:

Based out of Avalon Mall, the Customer Service Associate plays a key role in supporting Avalon Mall Administration and building and strengthening customer relationships. Additional duties of the {Role Name} include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting with the daily operations of the fast-paced customer service centre, resolving customer issues and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Assisting with the daily sales and reconciliations of all sales for Guest Services.
  • Demonstrating a professional attitude in order to promote a positive company image and provide excellent customer service.
  • Helping to maintain positive relationships with our clients/customers by responding to telephone and email inquiries in a timely, professional manner.
  • Maintaining records, log-books, and other data as required by the organization.
  • Creating public service announcements.
  • Responding to emergency and crisis situations using critical thinking skills while following current company procedures and policies.
  • Redirecting questions, issues or concerns to the appropriate department or individual.
  • Maintaining tenant contact information and tenant insurance documents.
  • Creating work orders for all cleaning and maintenance requests.
  • Engaging across all levels of the organization to create and promote a safe and respectful work environment.
  • Other special projects and tasks as assigned.

The profile we are looking for

Our ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience working in a customer service environment with completed secondary education. Ability to work with minimal supervision and Microsoft Office skills (i.e. Microsoft Word and Outlook). Having strong professional, communication, and organizational skills are a must. Experience with POS and debit terminals is considered an asset.

Physical demands may include:

  • Varied shifts are included with majority of shifts being in the daytime.
  • Capability to meet the role’s medium physical demand level – lifting and/or carrying: occasional 26 – 50 pounds; frequent 11 – 25 pounds, and constantly 1 – 10 pounds, including:
    • Lifting/lowering from floor to bench – usually 5-10 pounds, occasionally up to 25 pounds
    • Lifting/lowering from floor to shoulder – 5 pounds
    • Lifting/lowering above shoulder – 5 pounds
    • Carrying items – 5 – 10 pounds
    • Pushing and pulling items – 10 to 25 pounds
    • Occasionally crouching or squatting to reach lower levels
