Description:
- Build, update and maintain financial models relating to real estate divestiture project, AOP replacement program and partnership initiatives
- Provide go-forward action plans and recommendations based on model output
- Liaise with internal departments (HR, RDs, FP&A) to coordinate and support change management and communication efforts for all strategic projects that impact our
- joint-venture partners
- Liaise with external parties (lawyers, accountants, brokers, valuation firms etc.) to coordinate and execute on strategic initiatives
- Working alongside corporate teams and legal advisors when VetStrategy’s interest are challenged; including analyzing the financial impact of possible incomes and proposing recommendations that support organizational goals
- Working with the executive team to prepare PowerPoint presentations to support the Partnership Engagement strategy, including ensuring that key strategic
- initiatives are summarized and communicated effectively to our partners
- Review the financial dashboards for our joint-venture clinics and assist in developing and communicating action plans
- Work alongside our FP&A and Operations teams to prepare and deliver business plan communication documents for individual joint-venture clinics
- Continue to handle M&A deal related queries, ensuring we are up to date on market trends and supporting the M&A strategy for F24
Background, Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
- Minimum 1 to 3 years of previous accounting and finance experience
- CFA or CPA is a strong asset
- Advance Excel skills and modelling using Excel related tools
- Clear thinking / problem solving to successfully lead cross-functional projects/process improvement within operations/finance function involving process improvement and able to quickly grasp new ideas
- Ability to communicate (written and verbal) effectively with all levels of management
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather, organize and report information
- Ability to work independently but as a part of a team
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Nice to Have: Looking for someone who is Bilingual as you will be supporting clinics in the Quebec region
