Deloitte Canada’s award-winning, national in-house Agency is looking for a brilliant copywriter to help take our marketing campaigns in exciting new directions.
The successful candidate needs to be a creative thinker with unconventional ideas. Someone who can transform a complex business challenge into a human story, then articulate it across multiple mediums with a simple, impactful hook.

What will your typical day look like?
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with art directors, graphic designers, editors, and marketing practitioners as part of Deloitte’s 360-degree agency.
- Be more than just a writer. Act as a strategic advisor to marketers, helping to clarify business objectives, define key messages, and differentiate Deloitte.
- Lead the creative development process through words and ideas.
- Distill big ideas into tight headlines, positioning statements, social media posts, ads, emails, taglines, and video scripts.
- Take ideas and cultivate them into clear, confident, and human copy.
- Sink your teeth into a strategic brainstorm.
- Think beyond the ordinary to uncover innovative, engaging ways we can push Deloitte campaigns to the next level.
- Working efficiently and effectively under pressure, developing creative solutions with speed and agility to meet tight deadlines.
- Be a guardian of global brand standards, championing Deloitte’s unique voice, and ensuring design solutions support global initiatives.

Qualifications
- A deep understanding of what makes a good story
- Strong writer and editor
- Ability to turn complex ideas into easily understood language
- Creative, collaborative, detail-orientated
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a creative writer
- Strong understanding of the creative process
- A track record of writing for a variety of audiences and channels.
- Speed, agility, and great time management
- Self-starter with strong work ethic and initiative
- Dialled into the zeitgeist, social discourse, and pop culture
- Interest and understanding of the design and marketing industry
- Fluent in English
