Coordinator, Responsible Gambling Resource Centre

On-site, Sydney Casino, Nova Scotia

Permanent Part-Time (2 days/week, week days)

The opportunity:

Reporting to the Supervisor, Gambling Prevention, you will be educating people at the Sydney Casino on responsible gambling practices, share tips on how to keep gambling safe and fun and support those who are demonstrating problem gambling behaviors by referring to community based resources.

This is not a counselling position but more of a customer service focus.

Who we are looking for:

  • Post-secondary certificate in social services/human services or work related equivalent experience;
  • Two years customer service and administrative experience;
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to easily engage conversation with the public;
  • Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills and ability to work independently;
  • Computer experience in basic data entry, Microsoft office, knowledge of basic Excel an asset.
