Description:
Reporting to the Director, Student Success, the Coordinator of the Academic Centre for Testing is responsible for the daily coordination of the Testing Centre, administering a variety of testing services to students registered with AccessAbility Services, other Day and Distance students, prospective students needing admissions testing, and external individual and institutional clients.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Schedule and invigilate testing on behalf of AccessAbility Services as well as other internal and external clients
- Orientation, scheduling, and ongoing support of on-call Proctors to assist with classroom proctoring and students approved for reader-scribe or private room accommodations
- Ensure academic integrity of assessments, including safe handling and storage of tests and monitoring and reporting of student breaches of academic integrity of tests
- Maintain database for Individualized Service Plans in collaboration with AccessAbility Services
- Administer Professional Exams in accordance with external partner protocols (e.g. LSAT)
- Provide appropriate test accommodations and prepare materials and adaptive technology to meet the needs of learners and ensure accommodations are made in accordance to individual disabilities
- Provide direction and guidance to students and faculty/departments concerning test centre services
- Identify and resolve applicant/student customer service issues
- Work with sensitive and confidential information and correspondence
- Coordinate payments and billing for students, internal clients, and external clients
- Maintain department files, establish and redesign office systems/routines, and develop and maintain record-keeping procedures
- Purchase office supplies and equipment
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- A minimum two (2) year diploma or equivalent in Office Administration, Business Administration, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field
- Minimum of two (2) years’ of experience in administrative support in an educational setting
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
- Advanced customer service skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail
- Excellent computer/software skills
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and problem solving
- Able to work independently and within a team environment
