Who we are: Real Property Asset Management provides innovative, effective and fiscally-responsible real estate solutions for Peel Region. We offer a broad spectrum of services including acquisitions and disposal of land and buildings, leasing both as tenant and landlord, property valuations, municipal real estate inventory management and provision of real estate information.
What you will do in this role:
- Provide technical, financial, and administrative assistance to the Capital Acquisition Agents, Program Manager and the Manager relating to capital acquisition services for Public Works capital works projects including expropriation proceedings (road, water, wastewater and waste management)
- Compose correspondence for owners/lawyers/outside consultants, legal agreements, process execution of documents according to execution by-laws
- Reports to Council incorporating all legal considerations
- Monitor and coordinate strict adherence of Expropriation requirements as per the Expropriation Act
- Sectional administration, including records, document and other financial transactions (monthly chargebacks)
What the role requires:
- Successful completion of a post-secondary program in real estate and/or legal plus a minimum of five years relevant experience
- Combination of education and experience may be considered
Skills/Abilities:
- Advanced computer skills, including MS Word, Excel and Access
- Demonstrated strong public relations, communication, organizational and administration skills
- Superior time management and organizational abilities
- Demonstrated strong judgement, tact, and problem solving abilities
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team, and to deal well with changing multiple tasks and priorities under time constraints
