Content Marketing Manager

 

Description:

This role ensures that all content—spanning content mediums and channels including blog, webinars, videos, website, emails, newsletters, podcasts, ebooks, social, and more—is brand-approved and valuable to our audience. You’ll work closely with marketing functions, including Digital, Demand, Product, and Brand, to manage content requests and priorities, supporting every stage of the customer journey with high-impact, high-value content.

What You’ll Do:

  • Prioritize: Work with stakeholders including Digital, Demand, Product, and Brand to field content requests and prioritize accordingly
  • Create: Collaborate with internal content writers to produce and develop content, including web copy, emails, blogs, social media posts, infographics, newsletters, digital advertising copy, ebooks, one-pagers, video scripts, customer stories, and presentations
  • Projects: Manage complex content projects, such as podcasts and long-form ebooks, to ensure deliverables are completed on-time and to our brand standards
  • Champion the Brand: Review all content to ensure the brand voice and tone is represented consistently across all external content channels, across all business units
  • Organize: Create, maintain, and own content calendars to ensure timely delivery of content to support sales and marketing needs
  • Partner Up: Partner with external agencies as required to support content needs
  • Content Leadership: Collaborate with leadership and subject matter experts, across our customer base and with industry leaders, to create thought leadership content
  • Maximize Content: Look for opportunities to maximize long-form content into pieces of “micro-content” for social media, blog, video, etc.
  • Search Engine Optimization (SEO): Implement SEO best practices, in collaboration with digital marketing
  • Data Master: Use data from tools like Google Analytics and SEMRush to find ways to optimize content for best results

Who You Are: Skills:

  • Ability to understand brand voice and tone inside and out, and translate that knowledge to the content you create and review
  • Strong communication and writing skills
  • Knowledge of social media (LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube) and SEO best practices
  • Strong project management skills, especially when it comes to more complex projects, like podcast management and ebook creation
  • Experience working with external partners like agencies and freelancers
  • Experience with Clickup, Wordpress, SEMRush, Buffer, Google Analytics, Vidyard an asset
  • Experience creating content for government audiences an asset
  • Knowledge of SEO for content best practices
