This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work from our office and partially from home.

What the day will look like
- support clients to achieve their insurance exposure needs or concerns;
- respond to last minute requests concerning their insurance policies;
- provide advice and guidance concerning their general inquiries and needs;
- Identifies specific client risk exposures, develops and presents innovative coverage solutions in support of existing or new business growth targets
- Analyzes client specific risk exposure and details coverage requirements. Prepares and presents marketing proposals for renewals and new business
- coordinate and schedule client meetings aligned to best practices, inquiries, new business or renewals;
- coordinate onboarding of client;
- Approves documentation for new contracts, policy changes, additions, deletions and renewals;
- support the client relationship lead and make sure service delivery aligns with the client’s benefits strategy;
- coordinate with the business units as required to deliver project work as outlined in the scope of services withing the engagement letter and any other initiatives agreed to with the client;
- advocate for clients, negotiates with underwriters to establish the best terms and conditions with respect to premiums and coverage;
- support the client relationship leads and our finance colleagues with revenue recognition requirements for the client relationship;
- Develops coverage strategy and marketing initiatives for renewal and prospective business;
- provides direction when a claim is reported or inquired upon;
- Performing other related duties as the need arises.
How this opportunity is different
The Consultant analyst – Special Risk will ensure year over year growth of Special Risk portfolio by expansion of revenue/services to existing clients and working with Producers (to and from them) to establish relationships with prospective clients to support new logo revenue, new logos identified by Producer, RFP, Global and local relationships.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
- Bilingual French and English
- Hands-on experience in the Health Benefits realm is required
- Consistent track record to build, maintain and expand effective professional relationships across multiple partner groups
- High levels of Emotional Quotient/Intelligence (EQ) and eye for business
- Natural curiosity coupled with a positive mentality and approach to problem solving
- Have broad knowledge about Special Risks specialized market;
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, & Outlook;
- Strong Ability to coordinate and lead various tasks;
- Must have the ability to communicate and work with people in a fast paced environment;
- A consultative, sales & service attitude and the ability to work in a team environment are also requirements of this role;
- Work outside of the normal hours of operation may be required.
Education:
- College Diploma/University Degree, preferably in insurance or finance
- Life Insurance license will be required within 12 months if not already held
