Construction Coordinator

 

Description:

Under the leadership of a management team with over 100 years of combined experience, you will work alongside experienced developers, engineers, builder, asset operators, and managers on clean and renewable energy projects across Canada and the US.

Role And Responsibilities

  • Coordination of multiple projects throughout all stages to completion and the project close out process
  • Efficiently manage the Contract Submittals process and reviews Contractor submissions for conformance with the Contract Documents
  • Assists the Project Manager on clean and renewable energy construction projects
  • Ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in compliance with policies, regulations, licenses, and plans
  • Maintain and manage plans, specifications, cost, and material estimates, subcontract and related reports
  • Maintain accurate cost control plans by entering daily units of completion and processing timecards and material packing slips for payment and cost control updates
  • Coordinate proper procurement of construction materials ensuring timely delivery and accuracy of purchase orders
  • Expedite progress payment certificates, final payment certificates and all extra work orders as per contract
  • Maintain good relationships with owners, contractors and all internal and external customers
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications

  • Degree / Diploma from a recognized post-secondary program in Engineering, Construction or related fields
  • Minimum of 1 years of related experience in construction projects; preferably in renewable industry
  • Experience in project coordination / management
  • Knowledge of safety compliance regulations and commitment to a safe work environment
  • Knowledge of construction methods and processes (equipment, techniques, materials, standards)
  • Must be able to read and understand construction contract documents
  • Ability to coordinate with all disciplines, extract and relay relevant information for complex projects
  • Excellent communication skills and relays information in a timely manner
  • Excellent Microsoft Office Suite and MS Project skills
  • Proficient with AutoCAD
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work under pressure and consistently meet deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Detail Oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Valid full class G drivers license
