Computer Support Technician I

Technician I positions. The assignment ends on December 29, 2023. Reporting to the Manager of

Client Services and working in a team environment, the Computer Support Technician I (CSTI) is

responsible for the installation, support and maintenance of computer-based technologies at various

school district locations. The CSTI provides field service for computer-based technologies, curricular,

administrative and business, software as well as hardware. The CSTI works with a variety of school

and district-based personnel to support and contribute to the quality learning and working

environments within our District.

Qualifications:

• Graduation from a recognized two-year IT-related technical program, including or

supplemented by recent and relevant certifications, plus two years related experience.

• Demonstrated ability to coordinate and provide on-site user support in a large networked

environment.

• Thorough knowledge of computer operations, software applications, and peripheral devices

related to work performed, including business and curricular software, workstation operating
systems, printers, and various other input and output devices.

• Valid B.C. Driver’s Licence (Class 5).

The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal, communication and organization skills.

Work in an educational setting is an asset.
