It’s an exciting time at BC Hydro as we continue to evolve our offerings to meet the changing ways our customers are using
electricity and help reduce the impacts of climate change. As the Customer Marketing Manager within our Integrated
Marketing team, you’ll be at the forefront of connecting British Columbians with Power Smart solutions.
Your team will be responsible for the end-to-end marketing of BC Hydro’s products and programs, working closely with
product and program managers throughout the organization, as well as colleagues within the Marketing, Brand, and Digital
Experience team.
- Lead the planning, development, and delivery of marketing campaigns for new and existing products and programs that
effectively meet our customers’ expectations and needs.
- Work collaboratively across the Marketing, Brand, and Digital Experience team to ensure the delivery of consistent
marketing creative and messaging that meets customers in all stages of their journey.
- Bring a data-informed approach to our digital marketing strategies, including paid search, social media, and programmatic
advertising.
- Provide expert advice to colleagues across the organization on how best meet their business objectives through effective
marketing tactics.
- Lead a team of three marketing communications professionals.
- Collaborate with and manage a roster of small marketing agencies, including video, creative, and multi-language vendors.
What you bring
- You’re an experienced modern marketer that understands the interplay of technology, traditional marketing principles, and
customer service needs.
- You’re on top of marketing trends and are quick to adapt strategies to meet changing technologies and trends.
- You have excellent demonstrated ability in developing and implementing go-to-market strategies.
- You have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in an agile, highly collaborative, and deadline driven
environment.
- You’re a confident presenter who can develop and communicate strategies to stakeholders and senior management.
- Post-secondary degree in a marketing or communications-related field or equivalent combination of education and
experience.
- 5+ years experience in marketing communications, campaign development, planning, implementation, and analysis.
- 2+ years as a manager or team lead.
- Demonstrated experience working with creative, digital, and media agencies, preferably in digital media buying.
- Expert-level knowledge of Google Marketing Platform with hands-on experience with its capabilities and tools.
