Communications Associate

 

Description:

The Communications Associate is responsible for supporting the Lead Communications Specialist in meeting the needs of Bluepoint PR’s clients, including in a client-facing capacity. This is a hybrid position, and the successful candidate must be able to travel to meeting locations within Lambton County when needed.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to do the following:

  • Assist with the research, development and editing of communications plans.
  • Carry out tactics as laid out in communications plans.
  • Record meeting minutes at client-facing meetings such as strategic planning sessions and brand development sessions.
  • Co-facilitate client strategy sessions, when needed.
  • Maintain relationships with clients, as needed.
  • Represent Bluepoint PR at internal and external events.
  • Support and advocate for the values of Bluepoint PR.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Is confident when speaking in front of large groups.
  • Employs a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
  • Has great attention to detail.
  • Has the ability to work independently and with a team.
  • Has advanced written and oral proficiency in English. French language skills are an asset (written and oral), but not required.
  • Is proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace tools, and Canva.
  • Has a basic knowledge of marketing, communications and PR concepts including social media content creation, management, and copywriting.
  • Has a diploma in one of the following: Business Administration, Marketing & Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Professional Writing OR a combination of skills and lived experience.
