Description:
The Communications and Community Engagement Lead will be responsible for the execution, monitoring, and measurement of the association’s marketing and communications efforts under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer. The Communications and Community Engagement Lead is responsible for developing and executing strategies that include branding, communications, digital marketing, and social media. They will support the marketing communications department to create outcomes in support of the strategic goals and objectives of Norpro Security Ltd.
Duties and responsibilities
- Coordinate, implement, and provide creative direction for communications and marketing plans for Norpro Security
- Create and write a variety of content to support internal and external communication and marketing efforts, ensuring brand consistency (internal memos, corporate updates, presentations, website updates, press releases)
- Maintain and create engaging content and assist with graphics for all social media channels.
- Assist with finalizing artwork for different media and digital platforms.
- Track and analyze social media/business marketing and traditional media analytics.
- Lead and schedule email marketing and social media campaigns and execute improvements for content and lead generation.
- Run digital marketing campaigns like Google Ads
- Coordinate the production of video content.
- Event management – support event planning at trade shows, community events, internal corporate events, and other events as they may arise.
- Represent Norpro Security at community events when required.
- Provide project support across the organization on various initiatives.
- Work closely with senior leadership to support corporate branding to enhance image, identity and employee engagement.
- Maintain media contact lists and coordinate media monitoring efforts.
- Stay current on market and industry trends and make recommendations for adjustments for strategic communications/marketing.
- Write, edit, and create promotional materials.
- Prepare and help monitor budgets for communications/marketing campaigns.
- Perform outreach to press outlets, magazines, industry leaders and clients to build strong strategic partnerships to grow brand recognition.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in communications, marketing, journalism, or public relations or a related field
- Preferred minimum 2 years of experience in a related position or demonstrated experience/knowledge.
- Knowledge of traditional, digital marketing, content marketing and social media marketing
- Working knowledge of HTML, Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
- Familiar with customer relationship management systems (CRMs) and social media management (SMM) tools
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud: Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, or other design software like Canva
- Experience with WordPress, Wix, and other website platforms
- Experience with research using data analytics software such as Google Analytics
- Highly driven, ambitious, and results-oriented
- Possesses problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Knowledge of email marketing software
- Proficiency in full Microsoft Office suite, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Excellent proofreading and editing skills.
- Proven knowledge of communications and marketing ethics and best practices
- Creative and strategic thinker
- Self-starter with excellent organizational and time management skills
